Primary Colours

My scales are currently broken (which is perhaps a good thing really), but I know it's a good day when I can fit into my favourite vintage item, this wonderful vintage skirt I picked up on Karangahape Road in Auckland. That street is seriously the best vintage shopping EVER and I regret that I didn't spend more time there. I think I got the skirt for 20NZD. It obviously doesn't have an elasticised waist, and I haven't been able to fit into it comfortably for a while (I could wear it, but I wouldn't be able to eat a meal without popping the buttons), but today I can, yay! I'm all primary today too. Also, I nicked another one of my mum's lipsticks, this time a really cheap Australis one with quite a nice red colour. Port Red by MAC is still my favourite, but this will help me make it last a bit longer...

Skirt - Vintage; Top - Jay Jays; Cardigan - Coo Ca Choo; Shoes - Rubi.
(yes, I bought more of the cheap Rubi ballet flats...I'll eventually get them all probably!)

Robyn! Your outfit is pretty much identical to mine today. I don't have a camera, but here's a textual description - black Milk + Honey skirt, grey-and-black striped Just Jeans singlet layered under a bright orange long-sleeved Bonds tee, layered under a black Gorman silk knit, topped off with a royal-blue Cotton On cardie, with bright yellow Cotton On Tights and bright blue Target flats.

Primary colours ahoy!

Also.. where do you get your cheap Rubi flats? I think they could help me on my mission to get plastic flats in every colour of the rainbow.

Hey Elizabeth, I wish you did have a camera, that sounds like a great outfit! I got the flats from Cotton On who now sell Rubi shoes - they're $20 for two pairs, and they have a heap of colours. I was going to buy them in kelly green but my boyfriend nearly had a fit...I'll have to go back without him :)

What a lovely outfit! And I love that lipstick as well, I must check out Australis - I feel like another red lippy but I don't want to shell out for another MAC one...

Thanks Kirstie and Miss K :D The lipstick is called Dare I think, and is a good red with a little bit of shimmer in it.

one suggestion: your almost 'stepford wife' appeal needs a cute little silk scarf tied around your neck (off to the side! then throw on a beret and head to paris)

lol

love it!
